Hello,

I’d really like to get my Plex to operate much like Kaleidescape where the lights go down when the movie starts and come up to an intermission scene when the credits start to roll. Using web hooks I can probably get the lights going to the movie scene when the movie is started and going to intermission when paused, but the credits I’m not sure of the best way to do it. Has anyone attempted this? Also, aspect ratio feedback for the current content would be great to control masking screens for my clients.

There’s actually a suggestion discussing how to use pre-rolls to include information about shifting from trailers to preroll to the main feature – potentially/ideally also credits.

Plex webhooks - trailers, pre-roll, credits

Didn’t find this previously posted. Wondering if there’s any interest in webhooks supporting the start of trailers, pre-roll, and credits individually? I use my Hue lights with Plex currently and would like to have them dim for trailers, off for the feature and dim up again when credits start. On at the very end. In order to do that webhooks would need to make this information available. I know currently Plex has no way to know when credits begin, but I’m sure there’s a way to implement some s…

Plex Webhooks --> AspectRatio implementation on metadata payload

Could please be so kind to integrate AspectRatio on Webhooks metadata payload? I would like to use this as a trigger for my home Automation. My Home Cinema’s screen has a motorized Screen Masking feature. With the implementation of the aspectRatio on webhooks I would be able to set the screen size in respect of the movie size it is playing. This would be an awesome addition to the web hook features.
