Backgrounds on Roku TV?

Hi there,
First time poster. I have been using Plex for a little over a year now and I love it.
I just started customizing some posters and backgrounds, only to notice that the backgrounds do not appear on my roku tv app. The posters are all fine & dandy.
The backgrounds appear on the server on my computer, they also appear on my android app. Just not on the roku tv app. is there a setting somewhere i am missing? or is this just a roku thing?

I swear a few weeks ago there were backgrounds on there.

Pretty sure the background now only appear when the title is loading to play.

ah, i see. well, that is pretty lame. I feel as though i have wasted some time lol

No problem.

Of course, what I don’t know is if that is by design, because of a bug or because of some limitation.

i think it’d be silly to be by design. Why even add the customization ability then?
That being said, I’ve seen some of the “updates” and feature offers this past year and kinda laughed to myself.
