Backup Plex Server/s

I would love to be able to set up another pc with PMS as a backup for my main server without having to redo all the metadata stuff such as fixing matches, merging artist/albums, changing tags etc. and i would like to not have to do new ones twice. i would love if when setting up PMS on a new system be able to tell it that it is a backup of another server and it would automatically download all the necessary info for all the metadata from my main server and be able to update that information on every scan. Basically i could set my current pc as “Main Server” and any other device running PMS i could set it as “Backup Server” then any “Backup Server” will pull the metadata info from the “Main Server” and on every scan any “Backup Server” will update the metadata from the “Main Server”.

my reasoning for this is that there have been times where my pc hosting PMS has problems that puts it in the shop for many weeks and am then without all my media and/or plexamp features like artist radio stations, guest DJs etc. this way i could have all of that and not have to spend another year editing the metadata all over again and editing new items twice.

This is probably a duplicate request of this:

If so, I’d recommend voting and commenting there. It’s not very popular, but maybe you can gain some traction by adding your thoughts to that request rather than starting a new on (which will almost certainly be closed as a duplicate).
