When will there be official support for the battlemage GPUs? Unraid 7.1.0 beta1 supports battlemage and Plex detects it in the transcoder menu. It just can’t/won’t use it.

Time to stick a fork in this one as it’s now in GR.

No, you have to wait for 1.43.1 Also there will be specifically stated in the changelog that Battlemage is supported, and it’ll probably be posted about here. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another test build or two in here before that too.

based on a reply from our mate chuck (not Chris so not gospel) 18 days ago 11th of january most likely under 2 months before at very least the public beta that you can load in from within system without special test build download

1.43.0.10467 is now the public release. It is available on plex.tv (except for QNAP).

Announced on reddit.

Plex just hasn’t yet updated the release notes thread.
