Personally, I chose to go with a dedicated Ubuntu server running in Raid on a bare-bones PC that we built. PMS is the only thing running on the server. An Intel i3-10100 CPU@3.60GHz (comes with integrated Quick Sync Hardware Transcoding), 8GB DDR4 RAM, power supply, ethernet adapter on the motherboard, and a Hauppauge QuadHD tuner card. Two Seagate IronWolf 12TB drives running in Raid. No issues with streaming performance while at the same time recording 4 TV shows. The best solution is the simplest solution.
