Bind Plex to Windows Network Adapter Possible Yet?

Hey Guys -

I’m a long time Plex user and lover the app - great work! I recently installed VMWare Workstation on my primary home PC (which is also runs PMS) which obviously added a couple of virtual NICs. Once I did this, I found that upon starting, PMS binds to one of the virtual interfaces on a completely different subnet and not the ethernet one I want it to.

I did a bit of looking and found this thread and this one both stating that it’s not a feature and providing potential workarounds, but they are relatively old posts so wanted to ask to see if possible now on the latest PMS (1.12.1.4885) running on Windows 10 x64.

I’ve tried a few of the workarounds without luck so far and am really surprised it’s not an option, but if still not then I guess my only option would be to eventually switch to a Docker container. The only problem with that is that I have many TB of media currently local to PMS and I’m sure library updates would take much longer and folder change detection may not work so a setting like this would really be ideal.

Please Advise - Thanks!

The only implementation to help with multiple interfaces is the test for a gateway and this was added to windows platforms - where ip addresses without a default gateway are ignored
