I tried to use my rasplex today and it seems that my sdcard is either corrupted or dead. I like my raspbmc setup as it boots over NFS and never needs to access card except for boot loader. I see that openelec does have some support for this, though update may break things. Had anyone tried for rasplex?
Given how xbmc / plex work, aside the fact that it might work, it would probably give not so good performance.
Because of the amount of caching? Well how about USB? I read that is in the pipeline.

Just because NFS file access / transfer rates over NFS will probably slow file access compared to SD card, thus will impact global performance.
When copying a file over to Rpi with scp, i get a transfer rate of about 5 Megs /s, where class 10 SD card will give about 15-20 megs.
Regarding USB installer, it's in the pipe, we dont have en ETA for this though.
Even with the USB install you will still need a SD card but it should stop it becoming corrupted (this is a hardware limitation of the PI).
