Bug Report: Text Field Does Not Show Cursor or Accept Input Properly
Description:
When clicking on a specific text field – editing information about an entry/media and going to 'General > Title – in the application, the expected behavior (showing a blinking cursor and allowing text input) does not occur. Unlike other text fields in the software, this one does not display a cursor, and attempting to type or paste into it has no effect.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Navigate to the affected section of the software (Edit Media Information > General > Title).
- Click on the problematic text field.
- Observe that no blinking cursor appears.
- Try to type or paste text (e.g., a movie name).
Expected Behavior:
Clicking the field should show the blinking text cursor and allow normal text input or pasting.
Actual Behavior:
- No blinking cursor appears when the field is clicked.
- Pasting text into the field does nothing.
- It seems to invisibly select content outside the field instead of focusing the field itself.
Notes:
- All other text fields in the application behave correctly.
- This issue occurs consistently only in this one field.
- The field may be capturing input focus incorrectly or triggering an unintended selection elsewhere in the UI.
Environment:
Windows 11 64bit
Solving the issue:
Click the text field twice, but with a short pause in between clicks.
Replicability sometimes not possible, but the issue occurs every single time for me when I change a new entry into my library.
Example:
This is after I have clicked on the ‘Titel’ text field, typing will result in nothing happening (at least visibly).
Clicking twice, fast, results in the following example:
I haven’t noticed this issue with Shows or Music but I also didn’t test to replicate it.
