Hi,
I’m hoping someone could have look at the build i am looking to replace my Qnapp nas.
My Qnapp nas has no expansion left and the price of 8 Bay QNAPP is out of price range.
Currently i am looking at the Asrock j5005 do to its low power but since i do have a I7-6700 i don’t know if that would be a better choose even through it’s quite old.
Use of my NAS
Primary Plex server which i will need 4k transcoding on 2 - 4 streams
File server for backups for my hobbies (music, photos and videos)
Drives i will be bringing across are 4 * 8 TB WD Red and i will be using temporary 2 * 3 TB WD red but these will be replaced by 10+ TB drives at a later stage.
I will be using freenas or unraid haven’t decided yet.
