Can we get an automatic HDR tag?

It would be nice if plex server would automatically add an “HDR” tag to media when they’re added to the library. This would mean HDR media can easily be filtered from users by simply restricting that tag instead of needing to go the clunky route of having multiple libraries.

edit: even better would be if we can configure the (already available) video properties we’d like to add as tags.

Another option here would be for Plex to allow the use of saved Advance Filters as User Permission filters for a Library instead of just tags…

Don’t really understand what you are asking because you already can easily filter for HDR?

Currently many people do separate libraries for HDR/4K whatever so that they can be restricted from users (usually remote ones). What I’m asking for is a better way to do that, with automatic tagging.

You cannot restrict different versions with a tag, because the tag would be associated with the media ITEM, not a single version.

I don’t understand the relevance, neither of those things are what I’m asking for.
