Can you change when things are marked "Watched"

Normally, it’s pretty spot on. I watch a movie or show, and it will be marked Watched right about when the credits start rolling…

But, I’ve started listening to audiobooks via plex. that 90% point where Plex decides I’m done with a file comes a lot further from the end in an 18 hour book. Likewise, it’s incredibly hard to use the slider to find where I left off when each the slightest movement is equal to 45 minutes. If I could change the limit, whether per library, or even just over all, it would be great.

The ability to change what percentage Plex uses to determine “watched” has been requested for the last three or more years and Plex has responded by saying nothing.

Actually that is not quite true they have said that what they do is right and if you want anything different then you are doing it wrong. If the request was presented as wanting to give the user a choice then the response has been that it would make things too complex for the user. To put it another way Plex believes that their users are too stupid to handle choice.

When pressed on that Plex also said that it would make the program too complex for their poor defenseless programmers to maintain.

Personally I would like it based on time remaining (say 1 minute or 30 seconds) if the length is greater than one hour and retain the percentage for shorter media.

But no matter what we want Plex will do exactly as Plex wants. The opinions of the users matters not at all to Plex. For Plex it is “the Plex way or the highway,”
