Cannot add or delete media?

First time this has ever happened. I have a pretty large library and recently went to add a new TV series (properly named with Filebot). But it will not add the tv series at all. And secondly I was trying to delete a TV Show, and although the show has been deleted from my external hard drive, it will not disappear from the Plex Library.

This is happening for Movies as well and I cannot understand what is happening. Scanning library files don’t seem to add new files or remove deleted files. Any tips as I have no clue what is happening? The server is claimed BTW.

Plex Media Server version & platform?

Check the log files for any ERROR lines that mention SQLITE3 or database corruption. INFO and WARN entries are usually not a problem.

  1. Configure server for debug, not verbose, level logs (default).
    Settings → Server_Name → General

  2. Scan the libraries, empty trash, clean bundles (to generate activity).

  3. Pull the server log files, Settings → Troubleshooting.

  4. Look in Plex Media Server.log (and .1.log to .5.log) for database errors.


If the database is corrupt, you can repair, restore, or delete it.

If it is not a database problem, then attach the entire ZIP file of server logs to the thread, and someone can take a look for other problems.
