So if I run the Plex from http://Servername:32400 the video will not play. However, same server accessed from the ip address will play the video, http://192.168.1.xxx:32400. What is going on?
I can ping the servername and it will reply with the IP.
It looks like I had the server name in the Custom Server URL list and that was causing the issue.
Don’t use a domain name for your Plex server when it is in the local network. Because then Plex clients will expect it to have a valid and publicly trusted (i.e. not self-signed) security certificate.
