Change Plex Media Server user

Hi!

I’m using Plex Media Server, installed through official Debian repositories (https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb). I want to run PMS as other user (not plex) so I modified the file /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/plexmediaserver.service to change the user and group, but on each upgrade the file is overwritten. How can I make this change permanent? Why there’s no /etc/default/plexmediaserver or /etc/plex/server.conf to set these values?.

Systemd uses override.conf file.

Thanks, I’m an old school Linux user and I see that I didn’t dig deep enough in systemd.

I tried with sudo systemd edit plexmediaserver.service and worked well.
