Wondering since people seem to be developing channels that deal with more that just streaming video.
So it might be nice to have a few more elements available - similar to regular video objects.
Ie the ability to delete a video
The ability to resume a stream
The ability to say a steaming object is partially watched
There has been previous discussion of tracking view-state for videos in channels. As I understand it, there are non-trivial changes required to PMS in order to support that. At some point, if/when it becomes a reality, it will allow for marking videos watched, resuming from where left off, etc. (at least for video streams which support that behaviour). I wouldn't expect any movement on this in the near future.

Its a pity that videos for channels are set up differently from local videos, as if they'd reused the same object, developers could have held the watched/current location externally and fed them in to PMS upon playback.
