Is there a way to eliminate certain channels, like Shopping and most of the 60 channels?

In the web UI, navigate to Settings -> Live TV & DVR. There you’ll see something to the effect “60 channels - 60 enabled.” The “60 enabled” portion is a link to where you can enabled/disable channels and assign guide data:

Just uncheck the ones you’d like to not be visible in the guide and then click Save.

I just tried this, but even though I unchecked all of the 60’s channels, they still show up on the Guide.

You may need to manually refresh guide data afterward. If that doesn’t work, restart whichever client(s) you are using to view the guide. If that doesn’t work, delete and recreate the DVR, selecting only those channels you want during the setup process (your DVR schedule shouldn’t be affected, but make sure you have a database backup just in case).
