Client apps can't connect to server

Server Version#: 1.2.19
Player Version#:
A few weeks ago, my client apps (Chromecast and IOS) stopped connecting to my Plex Server.

I run a TrueNAS server (latest release) and can log in via the IP address remotely via web and see everything, but none of my apps can see it. One day it was working fine, the next it wasn’t. To my knowledge, there were no updates during this time. I have since tried updates, reclaiming server. I don’t know what else to try.

On reddit forums some have suggested to wait for it to come up, but after hours/days it does not work.

I’m wondering if it’s something to do with Remote Access (I don’t use remote access). I was sure my Private IP address was the same as the IP address of the TrueNAS Server (ie 192.168.x..x), Now it seems to be a random IP address 172.16.x.x I’m not sure why it changed and where to change it back. Not sure if this is the issue though.

But honestly, I don’t know what is causing it and how to fix. I have used Plex for over a decade and have been a Plex Pass owner for 6 years; I’ve never had issues before. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the app configuration - network settings

When you use Host Network , you’ll get the same IP as the host itself.
When you don’t, you’ll get a “docker address” in the 172.16.x.x range.

Thank you so much. That was the issue; I don’t remember changing this setting. But it was not selected.

Cheers
