Cloud sync update isn't correct.

Plex communicated this: Reddit - Dive into anything

Second, Starting today, we’re announcing new support for Google Drive, Dropbox, and Microsoft OneDrive! All three Cloud storage providers are available for you to use right now. >

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be true. When I go to my Account → Cloud Sync page I see the following options:

There is no option for OneDrive. However, there is an unannounced option for Box.

So what I tried is to go to the following url: https://plex.tv/users/auth/onedrive

This got me a prompt to link my OneDrive account (which I did), but when I go back to the sync page there is no mention of my sync’ed OneDrive account.

Anyone know what is going on?

Thanks,

The update for OneDrive is only for Plex Cloud, not Cloud Sync. You need to be part of the Plex Cloud closed beta program to be able to use Plex Cloud and our OneDrive integration.

How is Plex Cloud different than Cloud Sync?
Cloud Sync was designed to have selected media synced to the Cloud that you could watch when your Plex Media Server was offline or otherwise unavailable. As a sync service, this required original files to remain on your local storage. Plex Cloud is a full-fledged Plex Media Server located in the Cloud. Your media is hosted independently of your local storage. Wait for it… there’s more! Transcoding is done by servers in the Cloud!
