There’s a number of related suggestions. I suppose they might be covering the same functionality you’re suggesting, though I’m not 100% sure they’re actually duplicates.
Currently in Plex, when viewing a music artist, the only albums that are shown are those that have the artist specifically listed as the “Album Artist”. It would be nice if you could see other albums that said artist contributed to, even if they are not the “Album Artist”.
This would allow one to easily see collaborations with other artists, and albums such as soundtracks and genre/decade/music label compilation albums that don’t have a specific album artist. Perhaps the specific songs that the…
Currently, Plex is basically limited so that every album and track has one and only one artist. A ton of songs have more than one artist, and currently, there’s no good way to represent this in Plex. You could set the artist to something like “ArtistA and ArtistB”, but then that track/album will show up as a new artist, and it won’t show up under “ArtistA” or “ArtistB”. This is inconvenient and annoying.
