Configuring PMS from client - how to?

Hi...
still working on a basic Plex client to build some Know-How:
How does the client set up the PMS to deliver "suitable" files - if needed transcoded, remuxed, whatever.
I scanned a couple of Log files plus the Wiki, but have not yet found the messages/mechanism.
Does anybody know, where to find documentation?

I'm sure someone else will chip in on this - but I believe that the X-Plex-Capabilities header is used to tell the media server what the client can playback. I set it in my client, but only as part of an explicit transcoding request - mainly to get the ac3 audio i the transcode ( as apposed to the mp3 stereo).

it might be better to drop the devs an email, as they might be able to help more directly (through chat rooms, etc)..

Aeh… what is the “X-Plex-Capabilities header”?

Never heard/read about that… and Wiki seems to not really help either.

Do you have a link to an explanation/example? Ok… for the 2nd I already got PleXBMC for the Bonjour part. I will take another look!

This seems to be able to command the PMS to do some serious work, like transcoding.

But...
Are those ALL the parameters available? Is there MORE to set up the PMS?
What are the OPTIONS on each one?
