Connection error only when play movies with Audio above stereo

yesterday all my shows and movies worked, now today half of what I own wont play. It tries loading for a few seconds then says “We cannot play this, please check you connection” . I know it is not a connection issue, nothing has changed, and I even hooked up ethernet just to make sure.

I have finally figured out that it will not play anything with 5.1 audio, only stereo audio. I went to the settings where you can change what can play, i tried turning it all the way down, and turning it off, and a few inbetween with no fix.

I am playing it on a Philips Android TV, and the server is on my computer in the other room on the same network.

Same here for me yesterday. I was losing my mind. Same movie days before was playing without problem, and then it cant play without transcode. I tried a lots of things, finally i changed my Sony tv setup on Audio pass-through optical, and optical encodings AC3. Now it works again. Hope it helps
