Constantly open stream to an IP address - need confirmation on Plex Inc. affiliation or not?

Hi, guys,

I’m running Plex server as a Docker container, on an UnRaid machine of mine. UnRaid has this 3rd party plugin called “Active Streams”, that does what the name suggests - shows the currently active connections to the UnRaid server. In there it shows not just Plex streams, but all sorts of connections to the UnRaid machine.

And I noticed that there’s a constant and persistent connection to 1 particular IP address and all my Plex server data is being sent to it automatically:
139.162.142.209

After trying to dig up some info on this IP address, there isn’t anything specific that can be found, other than it’s from the pool of IP addresses belonging to the Linode.com - a cloud hosting provider in Germany. I suspect it’s most probably Plex Inc., but there is no way for me to validate that myself. And it’s a bit confusing (perhaps suspicious), since the IP address is located in Germany. And the Plex.tv domain is hosted elsewhere on AWS, and Plex Inc. is an American company.

So my question to you is:

Does anybody know who this IP address belongs to and is it safe to be left on connected?

Some hint in another thread:

Linode is one of the hosters which is used for connection to plex.tv.
Nothing nefarious.
