Would be nice to have a "continue index".

You just pause, press a  button and where you stoped is saved. So you can go to grocerie and your wife keeps watching the movie.

Other day you can choose to resume from where you stoped. Would be nice to have 3-5 continues index and on the resume screen show the date and hour of each.

We have that.  It's called OnDeck.  Anything you play and stop part way through should still be listed there and be able to continue from that point on.

That's not what is being asked for. How I read it, the OP wants to be able to save watched point to come back to, even if the rest of the file is actually played. A bit like having putting a book mark in a book and the wife takes the book reads the entire book before you get it back, but your bookmark still have exists so you just start from where you left off.

This is not what On deck does (ok maybe in a a Plex home if she starts it under her account, but the she starts from the start not where you both left off)

Oops. Sorry.  Yeah, misread that last part.  No bookmarks, only a single continue from if you stop playing.

Yeah I want to continue where I stopped even if someone watched until the end.

The watched status is tied to your user.  If you want "your" spot saved but others can watch, you should create additional user accounts for them.

This request is about a bookmark, not about account watched status.

A couple sit down to watch a movie, using either account, his or hers.  Hubby gets a call to head back to work or something Wifey finishes the show.

Hubby gets home, wants to start where he left off. 

Now, there's no way to do this.  What the OP wants is the ability to "bookmark" a spot, on which ever account they are viewing on, and be able to come back to that spot to start watching over again when he gets home.

This is actually a very good idea.  If you are on a Home user (either managed or not) when you make the bookmark, maybe have a way to select which User I(D to associate the book mark to.  So in the above example, Hubby comes home, can start watching the show on his own account.  (From the saved bookmark.)  Both accounts show the movie as played and life is good.

I get it.  I was just trying to provide an alternative for now.  Sorry I wasn't clear.
