I have been trying to figure out a way to create a new video playlist by selecting multiple videos within the list of files that are displayed as the Search results. For example, a list of video files that contain a specific word(s) in the filename or other metadata criteria used to generate the search results list. I have only been able to do this by manually adding each individual video file to a playlist one at a time, which is cumbersome and time consuming. I would like to be able to select multiple files from the search results list and then add them all at once to a new playlist. I can only select multiple files and add to a playlist if I’m viewing a Folder listing in my Videos, Movies or Music library but this function doesn’t seem to be available if viewing a Search results listing across all of my defined libraries at the home level of PMS. Can this be added as a new feature in a future release if it’s not yet available?
There is an existing request for this feature. Rather than splitting votes across multiple threads, please add your vote and comments to that one.
Create a custom filter instead.
Early 2021 clean-up: implemented (custom filter → smart playlist)
