I enjoy PLEX VR a great deal. I really want to create my own theater environment, specifically the minature car parked in front of the laptop from Ant-Man And The Wasp. I’ve been browsing the app directory but I don’t see where the environments are, or if it would be possible to insert my own. Can anyone enlighten me?
Supporting user provided environments is a good idea but it’s unfortunately not possible at the moment and won’t be in the foreseeable future, it would require a rewrite of a significant chunk of the app.
We do accept suggestions for new environments though, and the one you mention is definitely one that would be cool to have!
A follow-up question, and I’m fully prepared for you to say “no” because you would want to keep PLEX development in-house.
I noticed you’re using Unity to create the environments. Would you accept a user-created environment for integration into the app?
Not really, in the foreseeable future our plan is to keep this in-house as you said. But we’re open to adding more environments in the future, your suggested idea is already on our list of candidates so thanks for that.
