As the owner of the content, I want to write a note to the eventual borrowers from my library. Even a tweet-style short message would suffice. Something like, “This is my all-time favorite film.” or “Hit me up for a chat after you watch this so we can discuss.”
This feature is somewhat more of a priority than people realize.
Trauma is more common than people realise, and i am aware that some of my users have serious ones. So i have been tagging various warnings in the description and rating but its messy. Ie Rape scene, cancer. Etc
On top of that there is the pure library management perspective:
Verified ok. Corrupted, bad quality, missing episode/season.
Imdb has started rolling out tags as well these could be implemented.
It appears to me, users should now be able to share such information (incl. reports) using the Activity Feed (beta feature, see “Shared Messages” and “Reports” in the linked support article). It’s not an actual “curator note” but allows users to share comments on specific items – e.g. why they liked / didn’t like it… or in the case of the server owner an actual “curator note”.
Unless I’m missing some significant gap or overlooked an aspect of this suggestion, I suggest we can close this suggestion.
