DVR recordings are work that the server is doing and I believe that they should be added to the Status area. It could even go under Now Playing as a Recording. It would be helpful to know what work the server is doing and this is a fairly new feature which was likely just never considered for the Status screen.
Currently to see recording status you need to go to Settings > Server > Live TV & DVR or Recording Schedule.
