Custom Playlist Posters for Managed Users

So for clarification this applies to all players, all devices, and all accounts that do not belong to the host. Custom playlist posters only show on the host account, not on any other user. I have put a lot of effort into creating custom playlist posters for movies and tv shows and conected universes first in ordering them into the appropriate order but also in creating custom posters for them, for example I have a playlist that has every Star Trek movie and TV show in chronological order that is about 30 day of content, but I am the only one who can see the posters. With this upcoming update being about the art, shouldn’t we be able to see the art?

Which update?

Playlists are solely for the individual user.

If you want to share a bunch of media with customized poster, use a Collection.

I take it you don’t use playlists that much, since they are NOT solely for individual users and haven’t been restricted to individual users for literally years. Collections don’t have the customization of allowing you to set up individual episodes AND movies in ways like timeline order. Also customized posters are already allowed for playlists, they just don’t transfer to managed users, while the playlist does.

As for the update, perhaps you should check https://www.plex.tv/blog/a-new-plex-experience-is-coming-get-a-mobile-preview-now/ you should be able to find plenty of information about the new plex experience that is being updated to replace the current one we all have.

Has this annoyance of custom posters set by Admin/Host not being shown for Managed Users been fixed yet?
I’m sorry that I can’t check myself cause I’m still on an old computer OS, but would update sooner if this was fixed…
I also don’t see any posters at all for anything (single movies or playlists) that is shared to a Managed User, on my Plex legacy OS build.
I set custom posters for movies and playlists on the web browser interface as Admin/Host and when I go to the Plex app on my Roku TV I see all the custom posters, but when I switch out to a Managed User (on the Roku TV) I don’t see any posters and no matter what display listing/grid I choose. The display listings/grids are different, like the displays for Managed Users are lacking.
Appreciate any new info that anyone could provide on this being fixed or not, thank you.

I haven’t had any issues with managed users being able to see posters unless it’s for a playlist, and the playlist posters not being seen by managed users is ongoing. Based on the only response being from a Mod who didn’t seem to understand why anyone would want to use a playlist I don’t think that this will change anytime soon if at all.

I continue to await a response as to whether or not this will at least be reviewed to be added as a feature. Hopefully by someone who actually works for Plex and not just a community moderator.
