Delete a Lot of Entries from Watch History at Once

Is there a way to delete a lot of entries at once? It seems you can only do them one at a time.

Now that they’ve finally given a way to get rid of the watch state triangle entirely, I want to delete the entries from my watch history from a single day where I marked them all as watched to make that symbol go away. It says I’ve watched everything in my libraries due to that, but I want to get back to the realistic numbers.

You’ll have to select them all again and mark as unwatched.

Once done, you can selectively mark those you’ve watched again.

I guess I worded that wrong. I do know which ones I’ve watched and not watched, I was more wanting to reset the statistics to realistic watched numbers.

This is showing I’ve watched every single movie and episode. I’d like to fully remove that one day I marked all as watched completely from the history and statistics. Removing them from watch history apparently doesn’t change the statistics.

Is there like a SQL database or so I can wipe that day from?

Those statistics are stored at Plex.tv and, I think, part of viewstate sync feature.

I don’t know what would happen if you turned it off.

You could (theoretically) go into the DB and “blast” those records out of viewstate info but I would make a backup first before attempting in case it goes sideways

If you look at what that says “Watched since joining Plex”. That tells you the counters may (I’m not sure) elsewhere – which would be plex.tv

Purging viewstate sync locally (with a backup) is a way to find out.
