I would find it useful to have an “After a Month” option in the autodelete feature along with daily and weekly. Not all family members are up to date within a week of the admin and could use a little more time.
I find your screenshot amusing.
Based on the setting shown, you and all that you share with only have one month until they get deleted(watched or not).
So, you could just set delete played episodes to never because the option above, will only keep episodes for a month.
That’s how I read that option too, but older episodes were never removed. Only the “delete episodes after playing” actually removed files from my library.
Funny, now that I look at again. The option makes a little less sense(for multi-users)
KEEP is for unplayed only. This won’t interfere with played.
Delete episodes after x day/week won’t interfere with unplayed.
To effectively compensate for all family both must be set to never, or at least for your liking one month but still, not ideal.
Clearly these setting are for one user(you, the admin). These setting won’t even help managed user accounts. Just you.
It be real nice if we could tie users to the series so the settings would apply to them aswell…
There are a couple shows with lots of episodes and tend to fill up storage space pretty quick. I figure if they haven’t watched a news-related show in a month, they won’t. It’s an easy way to save some space automatically.
I too would really like to have to option to delete watched episodes after 30 days.
