I want to start fresh and delete forum account and think I deleated server but no where in forums does it give me a option to delete the account. I followed some of the links under search but when I click delete it logs me back into forums. Why is there not a simple delete all button. Im having dificulties getting server to work because I set it up 10 years ago and dont remember all the info. Im aware Ill lose everything and have to rebuild.

Iv had a issue that I started plex pass with a old email one that I forgot and somehow I managed to create another account r******k and transfer pass but now I cant do anything because user names does not match between server and forums. I tried and tried to edit, save but get user name already taken. Some how I cant bind forum credientials witth server. I can give more detail in messages

The forum has nothing to do with your personal Plex server as such.
This is my confusion I was told that server was under old email, I updated it but then was told that my login info was incorrect because I was using rob instaead of robert and I tried changing that but wouldnt allow me. Due to it being used so I have pass with basic functions because all account info does not match between server and forums as per private discussions from a senior member that server relies on forums to bind the 2 together and give a handshake
I think you misunderstood.
Your web browser is still logged in to your old Plex account. The one that you want to stop using, right?
Do you have valid login credentials for the new account?
Here is a test:
Use the “incognito” mode of your web browser. It should not have any old login sessions stored. So it will ask you for login credentials if you go to https://plex.tv and “Sign In”.
If you can successfully login to your new account, you have the confirmation that your login credentials for the new account are valid.
Then you only need to delete all cookies from your web browser for all the domains ending in *.plex.tv

Forum does not use my new email it will only accept roband. which is why I wanted to delete as its seems difficult to change or delete. But great catch
But it does. Your forum user name still looks similar to the old email address, but it is not an email address but a user name. The actual email address behind the account has been changed already.
But there is no need, to make your forum user name to look like an email address at all.
You can change it to anything (as long as that name hasn’t been taken already by another plex user.)
But changing the forum user name is not done in the Plex web app.
You must do it here, in this forum.
Good. Now that your plex account is back, you want to do 2 things:
- Uninstalling and re-installing the plex server software will not change or remove the old account info. For a Windows server, you will need to follow this procedure instead: You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry
- changing your forum handle. Concentrate on 1) for now.
Cant sign is using either email. Registery? whats that I just used windows uninstall
