Deleted pinned library remains pinned

While trying to reproduce something reported by a forum user, I created a new Movie library. The library was automatically pinned, as per normal behavior. When I was done, I deleted the library. But it still appears on the sidebar, with an error flag:

This is purely cosmetic, since unpinning it makes it go away, but it was a surprising thing to see, and a change from past behavior. Deleting a movie should naturally include unpinning.

I can confirm this. PlexWeb kinda behaves strange, when this happens (delete). Like it looses connection to PMS for like 10-15 seconds and returns.

I just posted about this myself. I was advised to delete the browser cache. Unpinning makes more sense.

Neither clearing the cache nor attempting to unpin worked. The ghosts donā€™t show up in the edit list.

Iā€™ve cleaned bundles and run optimization and still they persist.

Not sure what you mean by ā€œThe ghosts donā€™t show up in the edit list.ā€

Just hover the mouse over the library, click the Action menu, and select ā€˜Unpin.ā€™

Iā€™d tried that, couldnā€™t get the three dots. Just tried again, succeeded after a few minutes where I got every other library to show the dots.

The edit menu is the one you get under ā€œMoreā€ ā€” add libraries, first-time pinning, unpinning, and so on.

Have you tried to reload the web app in the browser?

Repeatedly since I did the unpinning, though I havenā€™t looked closely at the browser on the Mac.

Itā€™ll be very mildly annoying if I need to do this on multiple browsers, but itā€™s not exactly a hard fix.

Settings - Plex Web - ā€˜Show Advancedā€™ - ā€œTurn Off Settings Syncā€
now reload the web app again.
Any changes?

Looks like the ghosts are gone everywhere.

After making sure that there are no forgotten browser tabs on rarely used devices in sleep mode, try re-enabling this sync.
See if the ghosts are returning.
