Docker PMS Broken - "Sever Settings Unavailble" & "Problem has been detected with a core component"

Server Version#: Unsure. Downloaded from docker 17 Sept 2019.
Player Version#: Unsure.

I have been running PMS on docker for some time, something happened though that caused it to go offline. I have tried to ensure that the permissions are open on all possible files (chmod 777) and that the plex:plex user:group is the owner.

A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.

Please visit the forums and provide your logs, as described here.

I created a new docker container and downloaded the latest docker image, pointing at the existing configuration / media volumes.

When i to the ssh tunnel to the plex server to allow me to access via localhost:32400/web, i get an error that the server settings are unavailable so I cannot enable debug logging / grab a log bundle. I’ve attached the Plex Media Server.log file

TIA!
Plex Media Server.log (144.0 KB)

The log bundle you’re given contains simply the entire Logs directory renamed. You can zip up the whole thing.

In a bout of frustration, i deleted the whole config directory and docker container and re-created it all from scratch. I think i’m just about back where I was except I lost all my watched / unwatched statuses :frowning:

Is there a way to create add to the wiki about getting the logs manually? I only saw docs mentioning the way of clicking through the gui which was not availabe to me.

I note that despite downloading the images today, I am still prompted to update plex once I login… Is it even possible to do that with the container version?

I start with the articles on logs, and drill my way through.

I don’t have docker knowledge to add as I don’t use em.

As far as the wiki, I think your avenue is the Feature Request part of these forums.

Might be some things here.
