Does Plex need HDR or DV/DoVi in file name to detect HDR

In order for plex to detect something as having Dobly Vision and/or HDR, does it need to be listed in the file name?

No it doesn’t

So plex is actually scanning the media to determine all of it’s Do Vi properties and it’s HDR “depth”.

So I could have a REMUX bluray, and name it simply “Movie Name (2024).mkv” and if that file is dolby vision and/or HDR, plex will know it.
