Dolby Vision

I uploaded some duplicate movies to my library recently. The dups were intential, they were done with Dolby Vision. When I would go to the 3 dots (more) to select play version the movies all show up as HDR. Can we get a tag for Dolby Vision? They always show up on the GUI as HDR.

Thanks for your suggestion. There’s already another suggestion thread discussing an option for Plex to display more information in the Play Version modal, including if a video is available in Dolby Vision. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

We really need this! Having versions with Dolby Vision only being shown as “HDR” is no bueno. Since Plex is no good at DV at the moment I need to keep a DV version, a HDR10 version and a 1080p version. It’s impossible to know which one is which when both DV and HDR10 is labeled “HDR”.

Similarly there’s another suggestion asking for an option to distinguish different HDR formats incl. Dolby Vision details on the movie details page.
