I have my media optimized to easily sync with tablets for trips/flights. In the past, anything I’ve optimized (correctly) would get downloaded/synced to my tablet without any transcoding on the fly.
It seems this is broken now. For example, I’ve optimized an episode of Survivor recorded off my TiVo. I’ve optimized the file for 3mbps @ 720p.
When I play this version on the Plex app on my tablet, it shows that this version is direct play and no conversion is required. (I do not know why now playing says this is video is 7Mbps)
Media info does report that this file was transcoded at 3Mbps
However, when I attempt to sync to my tablet, Plex transcodes the file.
Looking at the logs, it says my profile has direct play disabled (which it shouldn’t, see above).
What is odd, while Plex doesn’t use the optimized version, it decides to re-transcode the optimized version.
