DS118 and Plex - Working but buffering way too much

I have been successful setting up Plex on my new Synology DS118. I was running fine on a Windows 7 PC, but wanted to upgrade to a low cost NAS solution. I am assuming transcoding is my problem. Playing over the air recordings on my Sony 4K TV is way to slow. It is slow to start and buffers and eventually times out.

I have Roku Premier, HD Homerun Scribe Duo, Plex and Synology DS118.

I have no problems recording and playing Sling through Roku. Just looking for a Media Server solution to record and play back over the air content. I have many hours invested to getting this setup and would love to hear I have a good solution in place, but just need to adjust come settings somewhere.

Any helpful ideas?

May I have have the ZIP of the log files please, captured right after recreating?

Thanks Chuck. How do I get a log file and from what do you need it from? Plex, Homerun or DS118? I can surely zip it and upload it.

this will give you the server zip.
