When I play a MKV video with DTS audio (h264, dts passthrough to avr), the video has constant stuttering. (Audio is fine.) If I force direct stream the problem goes away.
Now I’m pretty sure neither plex nor roku cares enough to fix their s**t. So, the question is, is there a way to automatically force direct stream for mkv/dts videos and keep direct play for all the other stuff? I played with /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Profiles but it had no effect. I’d be glad if someone knows how to force this.
It could be so many things causing this, attach logs so the problem can be analyzed.
Can you remux the file?
Does it play correctly in Direct Play?
Is PMS transcoding anything when it plays correctly?

Anyway, like I said I’m not trying to fix the issue, many people had a similar problems in roku forums without any fix. I just want to know if there is a way to AUTOMATICALLY force DIRECT STREAM for MKV/DTS files and let plex decide for all the other stuff?
