Is there a backend tool for editing the database ? I mean stuff like genres etc. Since my media exists in more than one place I have multiple folders named comedy, drama etc. because that is how I organized the actual file locations. So browse by folder is pretty useless.
The problem is there are WAY too many genres for browse by genre. How do you guys find yourselves browsing your media.
I wish there was a better interface for organizing metadata like collections, genres etc.

I found it is always better to edit tags on source files using third party products. For music it would be product like mp3tag.
Suggest doing a google search. For example a simple search without even mentioning the word plex in the search unearthed PlexEditor tool
This was just by doing search: "editing metadata for movies genres"

someone knows where are the database for Plex Cloud?
As far as I know you cannot directly edit the database for Plex cloud. You can download them from: https://plex.tv/users/cpms
Then you can view them but there is no access to the database.
What a shame. I have several collections that I want to use in Plex cloud, but is too much work to build it manually. I have some phyton scripts to update it, hopefully I can direct edit the database in a near future.
