It enhances quiet sounds like voices while lowering the volume of loud sounds. Ever have a “Night Mode” button on your HiFi? Same thing 
Once you install Enhanceotron, the compressor can be toggled on and off from the bottom toolbar.
Enhanceotron also gives you a library shuffler, movie trailers, and crop for 21:9 ultrawide films with black bars.
