ESXi, Windows 8 and PlexConnect

Hi All.
 
Just wanted to confirm with someone before I make any changes.
 
The machine I am using to run PlexConnect is Windows 8 running as a VM on ESXi.
 
When I start the service, the webserver on port 80 is starting but 443 is not.
From my googling ESXi uses 443 for internal communications and therefore steals 443 overall.
 
I believe you can change this port to another number and therefore start using 443. Does anyone want to confirm with this or agree this is how it reads?

*I could be very wrong but hoping for some help either way*
I run nestat -ab and nothing shows as running on port 443.

May have sorted it, I will update this port with how it went.

I find that hard to understand...that ESXi uses a popular\default port for IIS for their internal communication, i run ESX at work and havent come accross that before....I am actually using 2012 with HyperV for my Plex W8.....mainly due to the fact I also use the host for file sharing etc....

I found it hard to believe as well as we use ESXi professionally and hadn't run into the same issue. It turned out to not be that.

I completely re-did everything from scratch and its working on my 5.2.1 box but not my 5.3 box. I am assuming that I had the wrong version of the software or an old version. Silly me but I am glad I got it solved sort of.

Yes boxes referring to ATVs, is the latest 5.3? If so maybe its back to troubleshooting for me.
