Exporting a list of library contents

hello,

wondering how i could export a simple list of what is in each library ? just interested in file name or title of each media file that is being displayed in a library.

i have added a folder to a library with 998 files but the library only shows 989 files, so some files are not being made available perhaps they are not named correctly.

if i export the database from the media server, will i be able to find a file in the export that shows me the registered content for each library ?

thanks for the link. not sure how to get it setup once i install it. was planning to install it on a mac.

Once you install it, open it up and login like you do to plex.

On the left side you should see an ExportTools option, expand that and go to custom levels. Select the media type you want (movies, TV, ect) select all the fields you want into the custom fields section. and then save that.

Go back to the main ExportTools section, at the top of the window, make sure you select the correct server (Very top of the window), then select the type, subtype, and library. Then select the export media button.

is this a local-only tool ?

asking for my plex credentials … just making sure it needs this info only for accessing the media server itself which is local on my network along with the mac. i also have remote access in the media server turned off, not sure if that affects how this app works.

Yes and no

In order to authenticate and provide a list of your servers, WebTools-ng authenticates towards plex.tv, just like the WebClient does.

After doing so, it has access to your servers on your behalf, and can do the export

And happens to know the developer, so you can trust it

thanks for your advice on that tool … tried it out and works well.
