Hello, I am wondering if anyone had the same error or knows how to solve it.
I recently enabled HW transcoding inside the plex docker, and think thats when it started. The hardware trascoding works well, so this error doesnt seem to break that, and i am running the plex docker as ROOT thinking it was maybe a permissions issue. Also, I cant even seem to find where the “hybrid_drv_video.so” file is located…

Currently getting this error on a CentOS 7 machine running plexmediaserver-1.13.2.5102-4898d7d96.x86_64

I just got this too with a recent plex update using the integrated cpu of my i7 6700K

been working for over a year then just started crashing the docker container running on unRAID

Check your permissions on /dev/dri - that was the issue for me.

easier said than done /dev/dri is on my unraid system and Plex is a docker any ideas what perms i should be setting in an environment like that?

I am assuming you are passing it through to the docker container as a volume like:

volumes:

  • /dev/dri/:/dev/dri

If so you should look at the /dev/dri folder locally on your host OS.

it resolved itself after the next plex pass update… now it appears that two years of heavy use of hardware trancoding seems to have damaged the on board GPU on the i7 6700K i was getting complaints of getting stuck at 33% loading screens and went back to software and my CPU is pinned with 10 streams…my boards supports the i7 8700…going to be finding that now and installing it
