I usually browse my library and find movies I’d like to watch later. The ability to add those to the “Watch Later” playlist should be a no-brainer.
Relegating the “Watch Later” playlist to youtube videos (that must be added with a bookmarklet) is NOT straightforward or conceptually right. I understand Plex wants to see users within the app, but I assume the majority of people use the “Watch Later” youtube playlist WITHIN youtube. So, since apparently those two cannot be synced, the Plex playlist is currently redundant.

Maybe add another feature similar to Watch Later for Plex only. Should be a no-brainer.

Plays Lists just don’t cut it for this, Watch Later for local media would be great.
+1 for this. I can’t believe this isn’t a thing. Especially on ATV. At least if it is, I can’t figure out where it even is. It should be a no brainier to have a button on any movie, tv show, or music add this to a list and have those items show up on the home screen.
Not sure when that initial ‘Feature Request’ was made, but I assume it was sometime before October 2015 and that should indicate how well ‘Feature Requests’ work. Seems those doggies are barking up an empty tree.
Note: Many years ago RARflix for Roku (one of the great Plex apps, no longer in development - but still used by thousands) had a great little feature - ‘Put On Deck’. What happened was it marked a minute as watched and - boom - On Deck. Simple/Effective.
Do I expect Plex to honor this Feature Request?
Not in a million years.
Do I expect Plex to walk over to the Roku Wing and ask the RARflix developer they hired how he did his little ‘Put On Deck’ thingy?
Not in a million years.
What would happen if the Roku App Developer made a suggestion to add that little feature somewhere?
Chained to the wall of a dank dungeon deep below Plex HQ comes to mind.
While these little things make sense, seem logical and seem easy to do - Plex is bounding through fields chasing pretty butterflies (throwing ALL their resources into things we DON’T WANT). Feature requests are like raunchy farts in hurricanes - barely wiffed before - they’re gone.
I’ll +1 the request - for all the good that will do.
Best of luck.

This feature would be great!
+1 add one more. would like to be able to keep track of shows/movies i plan to watch in the future.
also would like to be able to send a “you should watch this” notice to other users on my Plex Server.

I appreciate that Plex has given up on media watching in favour of trying to be a TV steamer but I still have some faint hope they may swing back and give some long overdue love to their core audience.
This feature is something I would love to see, I keep forgetting shows I want to watch and having a list somewhere of shows that looked interested would be amazing.

It is hard to believe, with the amazing features Plex is filled with, that a simple watch later on local content does not exist. I would love to have a list of shows/movies that I can add to a watch later queue so I don’t have to keep searching through my library.
Plex Team, please read your feature requests and add this basic functionality in!
In our Plex library we have so many shows we want to add to a “Watch Later” list. We are currently forced to keep paper lists in front of the TV because this basic feature is missing. I have been paying for Plex Pass for years and I would still pay another $100 in a second for this to be added. So frustrating to not be able to keep a list of TV shows you want to watch in what is considered to be a top of the line media management solution. Please Plex Team!

as that’s about the number of times I have muttered under my breath that this should be a base feature of any media player
@PlexStaff - Does this need to updated with the new voting options so we can generate interest??
Wow, seriously who do we have to shag/bribe/kill to get this on the vote system??
@elan HELP!!! I’m getting desperate now. Please can we have voting added to this feature request?
Watch Later is going away. I personally use a playlist for this sort of thing
But when you put video in a playlist all you can do is play it, you can go to the movie and read the description, play the trailer etc. It would be so much better to be able to add items to a list that would appear and behave in the same way as on deck
