Feature Request:
Please consider adding a webhook event that triggers when a user attempts to play a missing file. This would allow users to integrate notifications with other systems, such as Home Assistant, to alert them when playback fails due to a missing file.
You should vote for your own request.
What’s the use case - why do you have missing files??

Its a shared drive from a nas, and if its off the files is not there. I want to webhook to my homeassistat to wol the nas when i get “failed to play” or other errors.
Huh. I mean … don’t turn off the NAS if it’s a critical component of the Plex system, but whatever. Change it to just sleep the drives or something.
Do you get the playback.started or media.play events even if the media is missing? There should be no harm in blindly sending a WoL event even if the device is already online.
