There is currently an option to specify a ‘Minutes past end’ for a given recording, in order to record some specified number of minutes past the scheduled end time of a program.
However, once the recording is started, changing this value does not work as expected (you can edit the value in the app, but the recording does not extend)
This is particularly important for live events (especially sporting events) which sometimes go arbitrarily long. Rather than recording an extra 60-90 minutes of every event to catch the 10% that run long, allowing an ongoing recording to be easily extended would be very valuable.
To me this would still need to be a manual process, but hopefully implementation would just be a matter of ‘fixing’ the ‘edit recording’ values to allow for updates once a recording has started (at least the ‘Minutes past end’ field)
