Perhaps an odd request… I’m a guitarist. I download instructional videos and put them in my Plex library then play them on my TV (a Vizio). The TV is an ideal playback as I often play sitting on my couch and sometimes play an instructional video. Often I’m working out a part say from the second verse into the chorus or just watching the instruction. I’d like to loop a section. IOW I’d like to mark, “OK start here” and “End here” then just have it play that single section over and over as I practice it and get it up to speed.
It’d be nice if the Vizio player would have this functionality but I don’t think that Vizio (or whoever does that client) will necessarily be gung-ho in implementing it. I’d be OK with this functionality being present in the web player as I could cast it to the TV and just deal with it that way.
As it stands I’m using the TV remote to rewind back a few clicks. But 1) that is not accurate and 2) when I do that the player spins a busy wheel for a few seconds then playback resumes. It’d be much smoother if the player would just know to loop from say 4:37 → 5:10 over and over.
