when it comes to actual editions / different cuts… you might want to vote for this feature request:
the current implementation solely focuses on managing different quality versions of the same video. that being said… I agree that it might be helpful to have some more details – maybe not the file name but at least some information on container, codecs. this should help to pick a version that will actually play (ideally without transcoding).
