[Feature Request] Music: Artist View Too Cluttered - Switch to Collage Posters

The default view in music is sorted by artists and generally uses a band photo for the poster, which looks very cluttered (example below).

 


 

I would like to see a switch to using a collage of the album covers (like used for Playlists).  I think that also switching to a 1.5:1 ratio would allow for better presentation than the standard 1:1 square.  Below is my attempt to illustrate the difference.  Please forgive the quality of the collage, I am not a graphic artist.

I think that the Collage has a much Cleaner look, is easier to identify from a distance, and will tie in with the Look & Feel of the new Roku Preview nicely.

I agree a collage of cover art would look much nicer & would help in ID'ing groups quickly as people tend to know there favorite album cover better then they know band photos.  I don't know about the 1.5:1 AR though as nothing else in Plex uses it personally I'd go with a 1:1 4x4 gird.

I'm sorry to disagree, but it seems to me that more pictures, as in collages, would look more cluttered, not less.  And I like having artist portraits.  They make for a more personal connection to the music.
