(Feature request) Password more complex than 4 digits PIN for users

Hi,

It would be great to have the possibility to have PIN more complex than just 4 digits.

I have a Plex Home with managed users.
My kid is getting big enough (and patient enough ?) to get his hands on a 4 digits password and therefore access the main account and tons of content inappropriate for him.

I would really appreciate to have the possibility to have a long password (same as in the iPhone, 4 digit is the default but you can choose to have a more complex one if you really want).

Your kid has the patience to go through 10,000 number combinations?

Maybe an account lock (requiring master password to unlock) after a certain number of wrong combinations is a better solution?

I think you forgot all the things a kid could go to get his hands on inappropriate stuff.
I know, I would have had the patience ! :smiley:

And I can’t see how an account lock could be a better solution to be honest.
Especially since my old mother is also accessing her own protected managed user account and I wouldn’t want to lock her out just because she is terrible with tech. :slight_smile:

Thing is, I’m not asking for passwords to require complexity, just for the possibility to have more than 4 digits passwords.
This shouldn’t be too hard to implement and I can’t see any downside.
